Why must the check be endorsed with the words "For Mobile Deposit Only at ELGA Credit Union"

The specific endorsement ensures that the checks deposited through Mobile Deposit Capture will not be deposited again at a COPOCO Powered By ELGA Credit Union branch or another financial institution.  It is one of the many security measures we have put in place to protect member accounts from theft and fraud. Checks that are not endorsed as specified will be rejected by COPOCO Powered by ELGA Credit Union.
